Foot & Ankle Specialist

Why I became a foot and ankle surgeon

I have always had a vast interest in medicine and science. I find treating patients very rewarding and take great pride in providing top-notch care to my patients. Lower extremity injuries can be both taxing physically and mentally. I understand the importance of quickly and accurately diagnosing and treating ailments that are preventing people from functioning at their best. My extensive training has provided me with the ability to treat a wide myriad of foot and ankle pathology and I strive to provide exceptional care to every patient I treat.

The doctor-patient relationship

I believe that a strong doctor-patient relationship is the key ingredient in providing excellent care. It is important to not only spend time learning about someone's ailment, but also about that individual's goals and expectations. Being on the same page with one another is crucial and only then can the most effective treatment plan be administered. Medicine is constantly changing and I spend a lot of time staying current with the most advanced and effective non-surgical and surgical techniques. I feel that it is essential to present a patient with every available modality and talk them through the advantages and disadvantages of each treatment option.

Medicine & Sports

Along with medicine, athletics has been a key part of my life. I started playing baseball as soon as I could walk and continued playing the game throughout high school and college. Sports and injuries seem to go hand in hand and I enjoy getting both competitive and casual athletes alike back on to the playing field. Staying current with the most advanced and least invasive techniques is of utmost importance in providing cutting edge care and limiting recovery time. I enjoy being a part of the recovery process and it is extremely satisfying to see someone leave the office with improved function.
